Tarasyuk I. I. graduated from art school, and in 1988 - graphic department of the Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repina, Honored Artist of Russia (2012).

In 2011, he took part in the interior decoration of the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in the city of Kaliningrad. Associate Academician of the International Academy of Fine Arts "Greece - Marino" (Italy). In 2007 he was awarded the international Van Dyck Prize (Italy), and in 2011 a medal and an honorary diploma of the Legislative Assembly of St. Petersburg.

The artist’s personal exhibitions were held at the State Russian Museum (2008), the Russian Academy of Arts (Moscow, 2011), the Central Exhibition Hall "Manege" (St. Petersburg, 2004, 2007), art museums in Vologda, Y. Sakhalinsk, Cheboksary, Nizhny Novgorod, Saratov, Tula, Orel, Belgorod, Penza, Tambov, Moscow (2008-2011), as well as Bel-pi (1996, 1997), Switzerland (2001), China (2003), Denmark (2003), Germany (1998, 2003, 2011), Hungary (2004).

The artist's works are in the collections of the Russian Museum, the State Hermitage and other Russian and foreign museums.
